Privacy Policy

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what information AppCut (“we,” “us”) collects when you use app.appcut.ai (the “Service”), how we use it, and who we share it with. See our Terms of Service for the terms governing your use of the Service.

2. Information we collect

• Account information: your email address and authentication data.
• Content you provide: app store URLs, uploaded screenshots/video/logos/copy, campaign configuration, and any feedback you give on generated output.
• Public app store data: when you provide a Play Store or App Store URL, we retrieve publicly available listing data (name, description, screenshots, icon, category) directly from Google Play or Apple.
• Payment information: handled entirely by our payment processor, Polar — we do not receive or store your full card details. See Polar’s own privacy policy.
• Communications: if you email us for support, we keep that correspondence to respond to and improve the Service.

3. How we use information

We use the information above to:

• Operate the Service, including generating and compositing video output on your behalf;
• Process payments and manage subscriptions (via Polar);
• Send transactional email — account confirmation, password reset, team invitations, billing, and a one-time welcome email;
• Screen generated content for safety before delivery;
• Respond to support requests;
• Maintain the security and integrity of the Service.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use Your Content to train our own AI models. Content sent to our third-party video-generation vendor is subject to that vendor’s own data-use terms — see Section 4.

4. Who we share information with

We use a small set of service providers to operate AppCut, each of which processes data only as needed to perform its function for us:

• Supabase — our database, authentication, and file storage provider.
• BytePlus (ModelArk / Seedance) — the AI video-generation model. Prompts and any reference images you provide for a generation are sent to BytePlus to produce video output, subject to BytePlus’s own terms and privacy policy. Real app footage/screenshots are never sent for generation — only for the separate compositing step, which happens on our own servers.
• Anthropic (Claude) — used to automatically review sampled frames of generated video for content safety before delivery.
• Polar — our payment processor and merchant of record for all paid subscriptions.
• Resend — delivers our transactional email (account, billing, and welcome emails).
• Vercel — hosts the Service.

We don’t share your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes, and we disclose information to law enforcement or in legal proceedings only where required by law.

5. Data retention and deletion

We retain your information while your account is active. You can delete your own login at any time from Settings. If you’re the sole owner of an account, deleting your login deletes the account and all of its associated apps, campaigns, and generated videos. If you share an account with other owners, deleting your login only removes your own membership — shared data remains for the other owners.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. You can exercise most of these directly from your account settings, or by emailing hello@appcut.ai — we’ll respond to any request within a reasonable time.

7. Cookies

We use the functional session cookies required to keep you signed in (set by Supabase Auth). When you arrive from one of our Google ads, Google’s conversion tag uses a first-party cookie to record that the ad led to a sign-up. It is not used to profile you or show you ads elsewhere, and it is not set for visitors in the EEA, UK or Switzerland.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls scoped to your account’s own data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we can’t guarantee absolute security.

9. Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect information from, anyone under 18.

10. International data transfers

Our infrastructure and service providers may process and store data outside your home country. By using the Service, you consent to your information being processed in these locations, consistent with this policy.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll notify you by email or in-app notice before they take effect.
